Welcome to dịp, the experimental new midweek party uniting the underground talent of Đà Nẵng with luminaries from across the electronic music world. An opportunity to connect with global artists not normally available in Vietnam, dịp is also a grassroots movement to bring together the most discerning ears of our city together for an aural feast -- not bound by genres, but rather celebrating all styles of electronic music in proper context. The musical arc of the night will have a carefully considered beginning, middle, and end, so settle in early, buckle up, and get ready to blast off.
For the launch edition, we are honored to welcome one of the UK's most accomplished leftfield dance music producers, SPACE DIMENSION CONTROLLER (Ninja Tune, R&S Records). A relentlessly innovative sonic sculptor since the late 00s, his sound wraps up influences from IDM, ambient, new wave, and film soundtracks into infectious and ultra-danceable sets. With his appearances on Boiler Room and dozens of top festivals, and alongside DVS1, Jackmaster, Move D, and Pearson Sound, he has carved out a sterling reputation for unique, cerebral, and playfully profound dance music.
